About Viv Haxby…
Viv is an engaging, fun and knowledgeable Blue Badge Tourist Guide. She is a Member of the British Guild of Tourist Guides , the Institute of Tourist Guiding and the Driver- Guides Association.
I trained for two years to become a Blue Badge Tourist Guide in London, the highest level of professional tourist guiding. I qualified top of my year. I love meeting new people and am passionate about sharing my knowledge of our heritage and culture.
I have worked with clients on Walking Tours, with a Chauffeur and as a Driver Guide. And I pride myself on the professionalism and enthusiasm that I bring to every tour.
The aristocracy and monarchy of Britain are particular areas of interest to me and I have lectured regularly on these subjects. I am currently researching for a Masters in the History of the British Country House 1485-1945, and this brings added depth to my tours.
My aim is to create for you a tailor made luxury tour focused on your interests. I will give you a bespoke experience that is fun, engaging and brimful of personal insights. Whether you are new to Britain or a returning visitor, I will personalise my services to you.
We can stroll around London on a ‘first impressions’ highlights tour, or delve deeper into the major London sites. Or we can leave the city and explore everything that Britain’s beautiful countryside has to offer. Let me share with you my specialist knowledge of our monarchy and aristocracy. And I also have a wealth of knowledge of the fictional aristocracy of Bridgerton and Downton Abbey!
